Scott Biehle

Scott Biehle, 57, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday March 24, 2016. Services in Atlanta, GA will begin with visitation on March 28 from 6-8 pm at Patterson and Sons Funeral Home in Marietta, GA. Services will be held on March 29 at 2 pm at the Catholic Church of St. Ann in Marietta, GA. Visitation at Young and Sons Funeral Home, Perryville, MO will be Friday, April 1 from 9:30 to 11:00 am. A funeral mass will be held at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle, MO at 11:30 am with Rev. James French officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to a charity close to Scott’s heart: American Cancer Society, Atlanta Blues Society, or First Tee. Scott was born on March 12, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri to Herbert and Evelyn Biehle. He graduated from Lafayette High School in 1977 and went on to receive his Bachelors degree in Economics and Journalism from the University of Missouri. He received his Masters in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis. On August 22, 1981 he married Karen Hargus in Nevada, Missouri. Scott is survived by his wife Karen of over 30 years, daughters Lauren and Heather Biehle, mother Evelyn Biehle, sister Patti Biehle, brother Keith Biehle, and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family. Scott was a loving father, husband, and friend to all. The following was written by his daughter Heather: I’ve never faced a more difficult endeavor than to attempt to describe the life of my father, Scott Biehle, in a few hundred words. Scott was an adventurer, a brilliant mind with the sharpest wit, a nurturer; the lone man in a household of four. His energy is indescribable and anyone lucky enough to have shared even a few minutes with him would surely say the same. He was the most well-read person on the planet and a magician when it came to translating his thoughts onto paper. He was the only person that it pained me to imagine disappointing since he was so unwavering in communicating how proud we made him every single day. He was moved by the simplest beauty be it a major 7th guitar chord or the early-morning glimpse of a fox on a golf course. He appreciated the wonder of nature and always encouraged us to go and do and explore whenever we saw the opportunity. His devotion to my mother was blaringly obvious throughout my entire life-enough to make my childhood self totally grossed out and enough to make my adult self never want to settle for anything less than a fairytale. I know he was at peace with the course of his life and told us not to be bitter, not to mourn. But I can’t imagine a day that I don’t find myself dreaming of one more moment with the person who made it so physically impossible not to crack a smile around. I love you Dad, we all do.
