Marydelle Schremp

Marydelle Schremp, 94, of Perryville, Missouri passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Independence Care Center. She was born April 8, 1927 in Perry County, MO to Leo Benjamin and Mary Myrtle (Moore) Vessells. She and Hubert J. "Bud" Schremp were married on May 13, 1950. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1988. Marydelle was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a long time member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Sodality. She served as a member of the Parish Council. She had been a secretary for International Shoe Company and a long time 4-H Leader. She loved to quilt and one of her great pleasures was the time she spent volunteering at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She also made delicious Date Nut Pinwheel cookies. Survivors include two sons and one daughter, Roger L. (Wanda) Schremp of Apple Creek, MO, Jane (Don) Thieret of Biehle, MO and Robert (Amy) Schremp of Perryville, MO; twelve grandchildren, April (James) Berry, Andy Schremp and fiancé Stefanie Kuntz, Julia (Andrew) Kliefoth, Noel (Chris) Nickler, Bethany (Nick) Burch, Donald Thieret II, Carissa Thieret, Angelia (Kris Kattelman) Thieret; Abigail Schremp, Grace Schremp, Ethan Schremp, Jacob Schremp; seven great-grandchildren: Braeden Thieret-Riney; Carson Dobbs, Camden Thieret, J.T. Berry, Violet Berry, Henry Nickler and Walter Kliefoth. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons and one daughter-in-law : Randy (RoseMary) Schremp and Ray Schremp and two stillborn infants, one grandson, Roger Leo Schremp Jr, two sisters and brothers-in-law, RosaLee (Milton) Renaud and Judy (Roger) Elder; and one brother, Eddie Vessells. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Ford and Young Funeral Home in Perryville and on Friday from 6:30 am - 9:15 am at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno. Mass will be at 9:30 am Friday, May 14, 2021 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno with Rev. Rich Wehrmeyer C.M. officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
