Leon C. L'Hote

January 10, 1924 - April 21, 2019

Leon C. L’Hote, 95, of Perryville, died on April 21, 2019 at his residence in Perryville, MO.     He was born January 10, 1924 in Belgique, MO son of Leon and Lilly (Modde) L’Hote.  He and Helen Gorman were married on June 27, 1942.  She survives in Perryville, MO.     Leon had farmed and worked for the Perry County Road Department. He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and American Legion Post 133.  He was a US Army veteran of WW II.     Survivors include one son, Thomas (Carol) L’Hote of Green Cove Springs, FL; two daughters, Lee Ann (Larry) Reiss of Perryville and Vickie (Mark) Winter of Creve Couer; one sister, Catherine End of Perryville; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren     He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Hubert L’Hote and one sister, Helen Mertz.     Visitation will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 24 from 9:00 am until time of funeral Mass at 11:00 am with Rev. Rich Wehrmeyer CM officiating.   Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.     Memorials are preferred to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, Crown Hospice or St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.     Young & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. in Perryville, MO provided the arrangements.     Online condolences may be made at youngandsonsfuneral.com.
