John T. Richardson

Rev. John T. Richardson C.M., 98, of Perryville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Apostle of Charity Residence, Perryville. He was born December 20, 1923 in Dallas, TX to Patrick Aloysius and Mary T. (Walsh) Richardson. Fr. Richardson was a Roman Catholic Priest and member of the Congregation of the Mission. He was ordained August 15, 1949. He spent over 50 years at DePaul University in Chicago where he served 12 years as president. He spent 10 years at Christ the King Major Seminary in Nyei, Kenya teaching Theology. He is survived several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 9 siblings, including one brother, Rev. James Richardson Superior General of the Congregation of the Mission. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm on Monday, April 4, 2022 at Mary Mother of God Chapel in Perryville with a vigil service at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Mary Mother of God Chapel with the Rev. Patrick McDevitt, C.M. officiating. Burial will be at Vincentian Community Cemetery in Perryville.
