Jo Ann Lane, 83, of Brazeau, died Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Independence Care Center in Perryville, MO. She was born October 12, 1936 in Brazeau, MO. to Phillip W. and Florence Ina (Murray) Barber. She and Doyle Luckey Lane were married October 30, 1954. He survives in Perryville. Jo Ann was a School Bus Driver for Meyer Bus Line for 17 years, Gilster Mary Lee for 11 years and SMTS Van Driver for 6 years. She was a member of Brazeau Presbyterian Church, Brazeau Historical Society, Brazeau Presbyterian Ladies of the Church and Elder of Brazeau Presbyterian Church. Jo Ann was an avid collector of angels and she was an angel herself to many. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. Her life was spent caring for others whether it was providing her famous chicken salad to the many events she helped organize in Brazeau or providing her gift of conversation and compassion to everyone she met. She was the happiest when her home was filled with family and friends. She was often found playing hide-and-seek with her grandkids and great grand kids or getting into mischief with them. She will be missed by many and forever in the hearts of those she touched. Survivors include three daughters, Wanda Faye Thurman of St. Louis, Gale Ann (Joseph) Lane Bell of Columbia, IL, and Nicki Jo (Ruben) Brown of Shiloh, IL, two sons, Allen Edward (Diane) Lane of Cape Girardeau and Keith Doyle (Sandy) Lane of Fenton, one sister, Sue (Gene) King of Jackson, eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Lois Neislein and Phyllis Hamlin, one brother, Benton Barber. Friends may call 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, January 26, 2020 and on from 6:30 to 8:30 AM on Monday at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville. Service will be at 10:30 AM Monday, January 27, 2020 at Brazeau Presbyterian Church in Brazeau with Rev. Ben Chapman officiating. Burial will be at Brazeau Presbyterian Cemetery in Brazeau.
