James L. Bohnert, 67, of Perryville, passed away Monday, November 30, 2020 at St. Mary's Health Center in St. Louis, MO. He was born March 1, 1953 in Perryville, MO to Wallace and Marie (Kline) Bohnert. He and Brenda K. King were married on May 25, 1974. She survives in Perryville, MO He was a retired residential carpenter. He was a member of AmVets Post 94, Lifetime Auxiliary member of VFW Post 4282 and a founding member of Elks Lodge 2701. Other survivors include two sons, Brent (Shawna Reid) Bohnert of Perryville, MO, Adam Bohnert of Perryville, MO; a daughter, Jessica Bohnert of Cape Girardeau, MO; two sisters, Rita (Danny) Coffey of Perryville, MO, Diane (Larry) Brown of Perryville, MO; two brothers, Jerry (Mary) Bohnert of Perryville, MO Dale (Verna) Bohnert of Perryville, MO; 10 grandchildren, Melanie Boxdorfer, Kora Bohert, Mya Mackins, Skyler Mackins, Jalyrics Bohnert, Samantha Bohnert, Elijah Bohnert, Serenity (Trey) Parker, Bobbie Brown, Joey Reid, and 3 great-grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside service will be held private for the family. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Rose of Lima Church or Ladies of Charity Food Pantry.
