    Ida Mae Berkbuegler

    May 16, 1928 - December 30, 2020

    Ida Mae Berkbuegler, 92, of Brewer, Missouri passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born May 16, 1928 in Perry County, Missouri to William Bernie and Mary Magdalena (Mattingly) Mattingly. She and George Edward Berkbeugler were married November 8, 1947. They were married 60 years. He preceded her in death September 8, 2008. Ida Mae worked in housekeeping at Perry County Memorial Hospital for 25 years. Ida Mae was a lifetime member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer and a member of Blessed Sacrament Sodality. She loved cleaning and to cook and bake for her family. Survivors include seven children; Sandra (Eldon) Valleroy of Perryville, MO, Larry (Debby) Berkbuegler of Cape Girardeau, MO, Ronald (Barbara) Berkbuegler of Perryville, MO, Linda Berkbuegler of Perryville, MO, Debra (Michael) Nadeau of Perryville, MO, Terry (Tina) Berkbuegler of Perryville, MO and Carla (Danny) Crump of Scott City. 10 grandchildren, Paula (Jay) Lottes and Kimberly (Dean) Hoff, Amy (Tom) Jansen and Chad Berkbuegler, Nicholas (Stacey) Berkbuegler and Kyle Berkbuegler, Michael and Kevin Nadeau, Carrie Berkbuegler and Jason (Kelsey) Berkbuegler. 10 great-grandchildren, Brett and Brooke Lottes, Lexi and Jack Jansen, Shelbi and Kelsi Berkbuegler, and Lane and Evan Berkbuegler, Peyton Hoff and Rowan Berkbuegler. Two sisters, Velda Schremp of Perryville, MO and Carroll Versemann of Perryville, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George Edward Berkbeugler; one great-granddaughter Abigail Jansen, two brothers, Donald J. "Donnie" Mattingly and Marvin Mattingly; and one sister, Vera Zoellner. Services will be private for immediate family only due to Covid. Masks are required. Visitation will be 8:30 am to 10:00 am on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Christ the Savior Catholic Church in Brewer with the Rev. Joe Geders C.M. officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Online condolences may be made at www.fordandyoungfuneralhome.com. Ford and Young Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
