Carl Calvin Pingel

January 11, 1954 - January 3, 2021

Carl Calvin Pingel, 66, of Perryville, Missouri passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield. He was born January 11, 1954 in Perryville, Missouri to Gilbert A. and Irma B. (Thieret) Pingel. He and Alisa G. Wright were married March 17, 2007 at First Presbyterian Church in Perryville. Carl was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He was service technician for Hobart Restaurant Equipment for over 40 years. He was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Perryville, American Legion Post 133, and was a very active member of the Perry County Republican Club. Carl loved being with his family and was very patriotic. He was very faithful to his family and friends and willing to help anyone. Carl allowed God to use him as a vessel in which God flowed through to touch others and make their lives better. Survivors include four daughters, Jennifer (Kirt) Ruehling of Oak Ridge, MO, Ashley (Thomas) Schlitt of Wildwood, MO, Courtney (Dustin) Peer of Perryville, MO and Megan Boyer of Fredericktown, MO; two brothers, Harold (Stella) Pingel of Wildwood, MO and Gerald Pingel of Perryville, MO; two sisters, Helen (Thomas) Gibbar and Virginia (Felix 'Pat') Bucek of Arlington, TX; eight grandchildren, Ethan, Madyson and Caleb Ruehling, Emerson and Hannah Schlitt, Ashka and Ryker Peer, and Silas Joshua Robert Boyer. He was preceded in death by parents, one infant child, one son-in-law Joshua R. Boyer, one niece and Godchild Kacey Berkbuegler. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 and 6:30 until time of service, January 7, 2021 at Ford and Young Funeral Home in Perryville. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Ford and Young Funeral Home with the Rev. Christopher Seah officiating. Burial will be at Home Cemetery in Perryville. Military graveside honors by US Naval Team and American Legion Post 133. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
