Linda Sue Christisen

Linda Sue (Jiles) Christisen, 76 of Perryville, passed away September 24, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield. She was born March 7, 1945, in Bragg City, Missouri to the late Virgil E. and Elva Eldean (Williams) Jiles. She and Larry W. Christisen were married January 9, 1960, in Perryville. He preceded her in death April 30, 2012. Linda worked at Prince Gardner and then was a homemaker. She loved to crochet, paint ceramics, cook, bake and gardening. She loved to go dancing and was a member of the CMA in St. Mary, Missouri. Survivors include her son-in-law, Terry Buehler of Perryville; grandchildren, Elisha Schott of Perryville and Lindsey Christisen of Farmington; great-grandchildren, Eli Schott and Taylor Riney; special friend, John Drum of Perryville; sisters, Mary (Valleroy) Ryan of Pontiac, Illinois, Sandra (Valleroy) Kirkpatrick of Missouri; brothers-in-law, David Christisen of Iowa, Theodore "Teddy" Christisen (Patsy Hecht) of Jackson, Missouri, Roy (Shirley) Christisen of Minnith, Allen (Renee) Christisen of Perryville and Gary Schumer of Perryville; sisters-in-law, Patricia (Rod) Torbert of Perryville, Donna Mahnken of Perryville, Loretta Wood of Perryville, Judy (Bob) Fry of Tampa, Florida, Pat Christisen and Anne Mae Christisen. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Larry; step-father, Jack Valleroy; son, William "Dale" Christisen on November 20, 2016; daughter, Barbara Buehler on November 17, 2017; brothers, Gary Mark Jiles, Danny Ray Jiles; sisters, Sharon (Jiles) Brandon, Deborah (Valleroy) Hott and Jacqueline (Valleroy) Wiegard; brothers-in-law, Merlin, Robert, Kenneth and Ronald Christisen, Ronnie Ryan and Neal Mahnken; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Grindstaff, Terrie Favier, Nancy Christisen and Norma Jean Schumer. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 29, 2021, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ford and Young Perryville Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until service time Thursday. Funeral will be Thursday, September 30, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor David C. Hewkin officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville.
